Apricot Hats
All Apricot Hats are designed in Oxfordshire and hand knitted in the UK using 100% ethically sourced Merino Wool or a British Alpaca blend for extra snuggly softness.
Alpaca wool is a luxury fibre and it is perfect for keeping little heads warm. It is super soft and feels lovely next to the skin.
Our 100% Peruvian Merino Wool has been ethically sourced. This means that producers have been paid and treated fairly and no children have been employed in the process of making the wool. The wool is shipped to the UK, rather than flown, reducing our carbon footprint.
Apricot Hats have been designed and knitted with your baby's warmth, comfort and style in mind. Your baby will feel fabulously snuggly and look beautifully stylish in their Apricot Hats, and you can feel safe in the knowledge that your little ones' heads are as warm as toast in a hat that has been designed and knitted in the UK, using natural British fibres or wool with ethically sound credentials.

How it all started
Apricot Designs all came about when I was looking for a hat for my littlest baby boy, who was born on a cold March night in the snow.
I wanted something warm and beautiful. I was also keen to find something made with natural fibres, responsibly produced or British made. I found my answer in my local yarn shop in the form of a ball of British Alpaca wool, spun and dyed in Devon. I knitted him a gorgeous little stripy hat which got many an admiring glance at mother and baby coffee mornings. Before long he had a hat for every outfit!
I began to develop my designs and I started to give hats as gifts for friends' children. I also started receiving a number of orders at the school gates and through the friends that had loved their gifts. I set up Apricot Designs as a result and the company is growing all the time.
I now have an absolutely wonderful team of Apricot Knitters, all living and knitting in the UK, who turn my creations into fabulously snuggly and beautifully stylish hats for little ones everywhere.
